AGLHC is the first Philippine company to manage a hotel in Vietnam, and the second Philippine company to manage a hotel overseas – the first being Manila Hotel International Corporation Ltd in 1986 where Miguel G. Cerqueda was also the Vice President for Development, and which four hotels in mainland China was opened and managed.
